If you are entering into the realm of homeownership, you will want to be thoroughly educated on the process itself, from start to finish. A great way for first-time homebuyers to learn the step-by-step process of purchasing, and maintaining, your home is to take a FREE homebuyer education class. These classes are offered in Spokane, and other cities in Washington State, to the general public and are taught by trained professionals in the real estate industry. As a first-time homebuyer, you may be eligible for a special program offered within the Spokane city limits or County of Spokane, which may provide you with a lower interest rate loan or downpayment assistance. These first-time homebuyer programs, however, require you complete the entire class.
As a former housing educator and homebuyer program counselor, I can help you learn about the various programs and eligibility requirements, refer you to first-time homebuyer lenders who work well with these programs, and help you find a home that fits your needs, and meets the requirements of any program used.
Potential buyers who are not first-time homebuyers may be eligible for programs promoting homeownership in targeted areas.
